Question Changing Secondaries in Factions

I searched could not find anything on this, if there is one please direct me to the thread and close this one.

Do we know if there is going to be a way to switch secondaries in Factions so we dont have to get rid of a certain char and experiment with the secondaries?

No article has mentioned it from what I've seen, but it would be silly to not allow it once factions is officially released. You can switch your secondary now, no reason why they wouldn't add in the ability to switch to the new classes in the new expansion.

If it was up to me I'd just do some retroing and fix it so that the new professions are available for change in the Crystal desert areas like all the old ones are. Presumably you'll be able to play the Factions classes through the Prophecy campaign so it would just be easier to retrocode it or introduce a new function that calls back to the profession changes quests in crystal desert and just add two new profession change quests.

I'm about 95% certain that they've said it'll be possible to change secondary to /Rt or /A somewhere in the Factions content. (Doesn't sound like it'll be in the desert, though, for whatever reason.)

Yes, it is confirmed that at the start of the Factions Campaign excisting chars can switch their 2ndary profession, but since Im at work trying to type this stealthy, I cant be bothered to look for it...

Let me understand something... Factions is stand alone expansion, all its own missions etc. I am going to insert my lvl 20 into this game, at the beginning of the game, and fight missions with enemies that are level 5-10? Just like the Charr missions in ascalon. Is that right?

Ok, profession change in the desert will probably not happen, probably someplace elese, otherwise, you'll get hundreds of complaints from people who only own ch1 that they can't switch to the new assassin class.

L20's in low level missions, mor than likely ANet has already thought of this, your level 20 will probably enter the factions storyline at a different point than a level 1, think multiple paths to the same destination.

From what I understand, if you add a Factions access key to you current account, you will be able to take your characters via boat from Lion's Arch to the new continent of Cantha where you can change 2nd prof.

There will also be an area like pre-searing Ascalon, so I imagine there won't be too many level 1's running around at the start of the new storyline, well apart from the usual I-want-to-complete-the-game-at-lvl-2 brigade.

No, Gaile has stated that the characters in prophecies when they reach level 20 is around half way through the game, in factions it will be around the 20% mark so you should be able to presume that you would be in the higher level areas when changing over to the cantha area.

As for the question of changing your secondary yes you will be able to change it in the cantha area, it has just not been stated when and where within the chapter this will be available.
